Angelina Kalinina successfully overcame the first round barrier in the prestigious WTA 1000 tennis competition in Rome.
In the 1/32 finals of the tournament, the Ukrainian tennis player defeated the American Madison Keys in two sets – 6: 4, 6: 4.
Within an hour and 34 minutes spent on the court, Kalinina did not file right through, committed a double fault and converted four of eight breakpoints.
In the second round of the tournament in Rome, Kalinina will play the winner of the match between Lyudmila Samsonova and 13th seed Jessica Pegula
