Sakkari broke into the top 5 of the WTA championship race, Kasatkina dropped one position

Greek tennis player Maria Sakkari was on the 5th row in the updated version of the WTA Championship race.

In the list published on October 24, Sakkari moved up from 10th to 5th position. The fact that she received the last, eighth ticket to the final tournament of the year in Fort Worth, USA, was announced earlier Friday by the WTA press service.

Besides the Greek athlete, Iga Sventek, Ons Jaber, Jessica Pegula, Corey Gauff, Caroline Garcia, Arina Sobolenko and Russian Daria Kasatkina will play there.

In the race for the championship, Kasatkina lost one position, falling from the 7th to the 8th row.
