Ukrainian tennis player Hope Kichenok came out in semi-final doubles tournament WTA 125 in Mexican Tampico.
Kichenok paired with the German Anna-Lena Fridzam beat the duet of Elvin Kaliev – Renata Sarasua. At the decisive tie-break, the Ukrainian and the German managed to win back from a score of 5-8 and then played two match points, losing 8:9 and 11:12.
In the semi-finals, Kichenok and Fridzam will play against top seeded pair Tereza Mikhalikova/Aldila Sutzhiadi (Slovakia/Indonesia).
Recall that in the first round in Tampico, the tandem of Kichenok and Friedsam beat a pair of Rebecca Marino and Ingrid Neil.
