The Ukrainian, together with Olena Ostapenko, will play with the duet Kudermetova/Mertens on November 1 in the first match
Ukrainian tennis player Ludmila Kichenok together with Elena Ostapenko from Latvia received the fifth seed number on Doubles Final WTA Tournament.
Athletes will perform in the Pam Shriver group, where they will play with: Gabriela Dabrowski / Juliana Olmos (USA / Mexico, 2), Veronika Kudermetova / Eliza Mertens (- / Belgium, 4) and Anna Danilina / Beatrice Addad-Maya (Kazakhstan /Brazil, 7). In the first match, Kichenok and Ostapenko will meet with a pair of Kudermetova / Mertens Nov. 1.
The second group “Rosa Casals” was formed by the pairs: Barbora Krejcikova/Katerzyna Sinyakova (Czech Republic, 1), Coco Gauff/Jessica Pegula (USA, 3), Xu Yifan/Yang Zhaoxuan (China, 6) and Desire Krawczyk/Demi Schuurs (USA/ Netherlands, 8). Tennis players will play three matches in the group stage, the two best pairs from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
Lyudmila Kichenok will be only the second Ukrainian to play at the Final Tournament. Previously, Elina Svitolina, who became the champion of the tournament in 2018, was selected for this competition in singles.
The final WTA tournament will be held from October 31 to November 7 in Fort Worth (USA).
