Russian tennis player Aslan Karatsev on a social network said that they resumed cooperation with Belarusian coach Yegor Yatsyk.
— This year has not been easy for me, I have made several bad decisions. Now everything is fine, we are ready to work even harder! Karatsev wrote.
On May 2, French newspaper L’Équipe reported that Yatsyk, who coached Karatsev until 2021, was questioned by French police in September-October 2020 in a match-fixing case.
No charges have been brought against the specialist. On July 10, the ZDF announced that Karatsev could take part in five fixed matches, including two Challenger doubles matches in Kazakhstan and Finland.
