Lost to the fourth seeded pair
Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok paired with Elena Ostapenko lost the opening match Final WTA Tournament in American Fort Worth.
Kichenok and Ostapenko lost in a tie-break to the duo Veronika Kudermetova – Eliza Mertens in one hour and 22 minutes. Liudmila and Elena have 18 unforced errors and only one won break point out of 5.
In the second match of the Pam Shriver group, the pair Gabriela Dabrowski / Giuliana Olmos (Canada / Mexico, 2) lost to the duet Anna Danilina / Beatriz Addad Maya (Kazakhstan / Brazil, 7) – 5:7, 0:6.
Recall that Lyudmila Kichenok became only the second Ukrainian to play in the Final tournament. Previously, Elina Svitolina, who became the champion of the tournament in 2018, was selected for this competition in singles.
