The duet of Kichenok and Ostapenko defeated Anna Danilina (Kazakhstan) / Beatriz Addad Maya (Brazil) in three sets. The meeting lasted two hours and 5 minutes.
The opponents exchanged the games they won, and the Ukrainian-Latvian tandem won the victory in a super tie-break, converting the match point on the third attempt – 10:8.
