“It hurts, I hate everything.” Kasatkina spoke about her disappointment at the failure to reach the semi-finals of the Final Tournament

Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina said she was disappointed that she did not reach the semi-finals of the WTA Finals.

On the eve of Kasatkina with the score 4:6, 6:1, 6:7 (5:7) lost to Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia in the third match of the group stage. With a victory in the group stage, the Russian woman could not reach the semifinals of the Tracey Austin group tournament.

– Obviously, I am disappointed with the result of the third set. It was a good fight and a good match. But, unfortunately, someone has to win and someone has to lose. It hurts, but it’s a sport.

I think we showed a close level. In the third set, there was not much difference between us. When you don’t wanna lose, you squeeze everything you got, that’s what I did. Now I feel completely empty.

Of course, now I hate everything. Very disappointed, I don’t want to do anything. But I have to be objective and say that this season has been the best of my career. Honestly, at the start of the season, if you had told me that I would be sitting here now, I probably wouldn’t have believed you,” Kasatkina quotes the WTA website.

Poland’s Iga Sventek, Garcia, Greece’s Maria Sakkari and Belarus’ Arina Sabolenko have qualified for the WTA Final Tournament qualifiers.
