The Ukrainian passed the Swede Friberg
Ukrainian tennis player Ilya Marchenko made it to the main draw of the series tournament Challenger in Bratislava.
In the second qualifying round, Marchenko defeated Sweden’s Karl Friberg in straight sets. During the match, the Ukrainian tennis player completed six aces with one double fault, made three breaks and won back both break points of the opponent.
Marchenko will play for the first time in three weeks in the basis of the Challenger, after he managed to break into the main draw of the tournament in Vilnius.
Recall that two more Ukrainians are playing in Bratislava – Vitaly Sachko and Alexey Krutykh. In the qualifying final, Sachko will face Cem Ilkel from Turkey. And Krutykh will compete with Henry Skvyre from Germany.
