russian woman Veronika Kudermetova will rise to second place in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) doubles rankings after teaming with Belgium’s Elise Mertens to win the latest WTA doubles tournament.
In the final, the Russian-Belgian duo defeated Barbora Kreychikova and Katerina Sinyakova from the Czech Republic with the score 6:1, 4:6, 11:9. The tournament took place in Fort Worth (USA).
Kudermetova, 25, is currently in fifth place in the couples rankings, with her best result being the second position achieved in June 2022. This season, the Russian tennis player has won three doubles titles.
The new version of the ranking will be published on Monday.
