Ukrainian tennis players started their performances at competitions in Shymkent in different ways.
Ilya Marchenko easily entered the second round of the Challenger Tennis Tournament in the Kazakh city of Shymkent. Initially, the Ukrainian met Georgian Purtseladze and easily defeated the opponent in two sets 6: 4, 6: 2. The meeting lasted only 74 minutes.
But Eric Vanschelboim did not win initially in both tournaments. The Ukrainian tennis player in a difficult confrontation was still defeated by fourth seeded Japanese Uchida 5: 7, 6: 7. The athletes spent two hours and three minutes on the court.
