Dziuba lacks qualifications to host exhibition tennis matches, Kamelzon says

Russia Honored Coach, St. Petersburg Open Board Member, Vladimir Kamelzon told that he would be happy to play tennis with Artem Dziuba but the former Zenit footballer does not have the qualifications to play exhibition matches.

Earlier it became known that Dziuba and the Turkish club Adana Demirspor terminated the contract by mutual agreement between the parties. In total, the footballer played five matches for the team and scored one goal.

– Dzyuba played tennis with Alexander Medvedev. Do you like the idea of inviting Dziuba, for example, to an exhibition match of a tennis tournament in St. Petersburg?

– Many people want to participate in our tournament, but it is still too early to talk about any exhibition match or entertainment. And tennis for Dziuba is entertainment, he loves this sport. Tennis helped him play football. I also played tennis with him. But his current situation in his career has nothing to do with it, it’s none of our tennis mind’s business that Artem is in football now. He is a famous footballer, a great footballer, he will still play and score his goals.

If he wants to play tennis, I will gladly play with him. But with all due respect, he is not qualified to play exhibition matches. In such matches, people know how to play, everything is serious there, Kamelzon told .

Before joining the Turkish club, Dzyuba played for Zenit since 2015, spent 249 games for the blue-white-blue and scored 108 goals. With the Saint Petersburg club, he won the championship and the Russian Super Cup four times, twice the national Cup.
