Ukrainian tennis players lead in the match with Japan – 2:0

Katarina Zawatskaya won Moyuku Uchijima in the second game of the playoff match of the Billie Jean King Cup Japan – Ukraine.

Zavatskaya beat her opponent in 1 hour 40 minutes, making 4 aces, not making a single double fault and winning 100% of the points on the second serve. In the first set, the opponents took all their serves, and in the tie-break, Zavatskaya won 7:3. In the second game, Katarina made two breaks and convincingly brought the matter to victory.

Ukraine took the lead in the match 2:0. Recall that in the opening game, Marta Kostyuk beat Misaki Doi.

Tomorrow Kostyuk will play against Uchijima (the match starts at 06:00 Kyiv time), and Zawatskaya will play against Doi. The duets Kostyuk / Lyudmila Kichenok and Shuko Aoyama / Ena Shibahara should play in the doubles match.

The winner of the match will play in the Billie Jean King Cup Qualifier next year.
