The Greek won in three sets
Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas won against Daniil Medvedev in the second round match in the “Red Group” on Final ATP Tournament in Turin.
The match lasted 2 hours and 23 minutes. The opponents played three sets. One break was enough for the Greek to win the first game. In the second set, Medvedev equalized by winning a long tie-break.
In the third set, Tsitsipas lost 3:5. Then he played match points with the score 4:5. And on the tie-break, the Greek defeated Medvedev, taking three submissions from his opponent.
For Medvedev, this was already the second defeat in the tournament and he lost his chances to reach the playoffs.
Earlier in this group, Novak Djokovic beat Andrei Rublev and advanced to the semifinals of the ATP Final Tournament ahead of schedule. In the last round, Tsitsipas and Rublev will play for the second ticket to the playoffs.
