Boris Becker is free again. The legendary German ex-tennis player has been released from prison in the UK.

It will be recalled that the six-time champion of the Grand Slam tournaments was imprisoned for fraud during the bankruptcy proceedings. Themis awarded the former athlete 2.5 years in prison, but he served only eight months.

According to the BBC, the German was placed under the early release program because he is a foreign national without British citizenship. The program was created to reduce the burden on Britain’s overcrowded prisons.

Now Boris Becker is waiting for deportation to Germany.

Also recall that the former world number one was declared bankrupt on June 21, 2017, owing almost £50 million to creditors due to unpaid debts of over £3 million on his property in Mallorca, Spain.

The investigation revealed that Becker transferred almost 427,000 euros from his business account to other people. He also failed to declare his stake in a £1 million property in his hometown of Leimen, Germany, hid an €825,000 bank loan and hid 75,000 shares in a £66,000 technology company.
