Sisters Kichenok, Kalinina and Kostyuk entered the Australian Open doubles tournament

Lyudmila will continue to compete with Elena Ostapenko, with whom she won two WTA titles in 2022

Four representatives of Ukraine plan to play in the doubles tournament Australian Open. The list of applications included Hope Kichenok, Ludmila Kichenok, Marta Kostyuk and Angelina Kalinina.

Lyudmila Kichenok, ranked ninth in the WTA doubles rating, will play in a duet with Elena Ostapenko. In 2022, a Ukrainian and a Latvian representative won two WTA titles (Birmingham and Cincinnati), and also reached the semi-finals of Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the Final Tournament.

Nadezhda Kichenok will play in tandem with Kimberly Zimmerman from Belgium. Kalinina will perform with another Belgian, Alison van Uytvank.

Marta Kostyuk will play in a duet with Elena-Gabriela Ruse from Romania. In mid-December, the Ukrainian, along with Oksana Kalashnikova from Georgia, won the doubles tournament in Limoges.

Recall that Kalinina and Kostyuk will play in the main draw of the Australian Open. Katerina Beindl, Dayana Yastremskaya, Lesya Tsurenko, Daria Snigur and Katarina Zavatskaya will play in the qualification. Alexey Krutykh entered the men’s qualifying tournament.
