The Ukrainian finished the year at 335th position in the ATP rankings
Ukrainian tennis player Vitaly Sachko summed up the past season and talked about plans for the next year.
“Now I am in Bratislava, my pre-season training has begun. The first week I work only on GPP, and then, since there will be holidays, I will work according to the plan at my home in the Czech Republic. Now my priority is physical preparation to play tournaments without injuries, to withstand the pressure.
“Yes, it really was not the best season. There were many problems, I often got sick. At the beginning of the year it was very difficult to play psychologically, then, when it became normal in terms of psychology, physical problems began, then I got sick, then injuries. That’s how a little bit of everything accumulated and the season failed. Now I’m getting in shape and I want to go to tournaments from the very beginning of the year and try to correct this situation.”
“Plans for the new season? The main thing is to gain a foothold in the Slam qualifications. To begin with, return to the top 300, then to the top 200. I will try to achieve this goal.”
Vitaliy Sachko is the second racket of Ukraine, he finished 2022 on the 335th line of the ATP rating.
Recall that in the new season Sachko will work with the former Czech tennis player, ex-fifth racket of the world, Jiri Novak.
