Former Serbian World No. 1 Novak Djokovic arrived in Australia on the eve of the Grand Slam tournament, according to The Age.
The tennis player flew to Adelaide on Tuesday, where he will compete in the Australian Open next week.
In January 2022, Djokovic arrived in Australia to play at the Australian Open, but was quarantined by local authorities due to issues with documentation regarding the medical exemption from mandatory vaccinations. The Serbian’s visa was canceled and he subsequently left the country.
Djokovic is 35 and has won 21 Grand Slam singles tournaments.
The 2023 Australian Open will be held in Melbourne from January 16-29.
