“Kuznetsova comes and, like a nice policeman, tells my students how wonderful they are” – Myskina

Former Russian tennis player Anastasia Myskina in an interview with “” spoke about the participation Svetlana Kuznetsova in the training process with his students.

Myskina ended her career in 2007. In early December, together with Kuznetsova, Elena Vesnina and Nikolai Davydenko, they took part in the North Palmyra Trophies tennis tournament in St. Petersburg as coaches. Now Myskina works with young tennis players.

When I started all this [тренерскую] story, was very sweet, – said Myskina “”. – It seemed to me that you had to pat everyone on the head, to say how cool they are. But time has passed, I have gained experience and I understand that deep down you have to be very demanding with your athletes.

On the other hand, Sveta Kuznetsova comes to see me from time to time and I ask her to share her experience. She comes around once a month and, like such a nice policeman, tells the students how cool, wonderful, etc. they are. They are so happy to see her! And I’m so grateful to her that Sveta helps me be like that, and she’s “soft and fluffy” to them.

– Did you agree with Kuznetsova about the “good” and “bad” police in advance?

– It just happened by accident. Sveta just wanted to play, to train for herself. But she also liked to share her experience. The guys love him very much, are grateful to him, and I – even more.
