Ukrainian beat Spaniard Buksha in two sets
Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk started with a victory in qualifying WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide (Australia).
Kostyuk beat Christina Buksha from Spain in two sets in 1 hour and 50 minutes. In the first game, everything was decided on a tie-break, where the Ukrainian turned out to be a little more successful – 11:9. And in the second set, Marta twice took the opponent’s serve and brought the matter to victory – 6:4.
In the final round of qualifying, Kostyuk will face Mayar Sherif (Egypt, 6), who beat Lysette Cabrera (Australia, WC) in straight sets.
Recall that today in Adelaide in the first round of selection, Angelina Kalinina, seeded under the first number, will play against her compatriot Dayana Yastremskaya.
