Kichenok and Kimberly Zimmerman will play with the fourth seeds Aoyama and Shibihara
Ukrainian tennis player Hope Kichenok advanced to the second round of the doubles tournament WTA 500which takes place in the Australian Adelaide.
Ukrainian with Kimberly Zimmermann from Belgium defeated Chinese Han Xinyun and Vivian Geisen from Germany in straight sets. It is worth noting that in the first game Kichenok and Zimmermann bounced back from the opponents’ set point.
Failed to advance to the second round Marta Kostyuk. Ukrainian with Mayar Sheriff from Egypt lost in two sets to the duet Veronika Kudermetova / Lyudmila Samsonova. Recall that Kostyuk beat her partner in singles in the final qualification and reached the main draw in Adelaide.
In the second round, Kichenok and Zimmermann will face Japanese fourth seed Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara. The fight is scheduled for January 3rd.
