Safiullin beat Ymer and reached the second round of the tournament in Adelaide

Russian tennis player Romain Safiullin reached the second round of the ATP 250 category tournament in Adelaide, Australia.

In the first round, Safiullin, who entered the main draw of the tournament through qualification, defeated Sweden’s Mikael Umer. The match lasted 1h34 and ended with the score of 6:4, 6:2.

In the next round, Safiullin will face match winner Rinki Hijikata (Australia, Q) against Denis Shapovalov (Canada).

The Adelaide tournament will end on January 8.
