Navratilova, 66, was diagnosed with breast and throat cancer after being diagnosed with enlarged lymph nodes in her neck in early November, according to The Times. Further examination also revealed breast cancer.

She was cured of breast cancer 13 years ago after undergoing radiotherapy.

Navratilova holds the record for the most singles titles (167) and the second longest stay at number one in the world rankings (332 weeks), behind only Germany’s Steffi Graf (377).
