In the first round, Kudermetova, seeded 4th, beat the American Amanda Anisimova . The match ended with the score 6:3, 6:0 in favor of the Russian. The athletes spent 1h15 on the field.
In the next round, Kudermetova will play with Canadian Bianca Andreescu.
Another Russian Daria Kasatkina the third racket of the tournament, was beaten by the Czech Linda Noskova , who qualified for the main draw of the tournament. The match lasted 2 hours 33 minutes and ended with the score 6:3, 6:7 (2:7), 6:3 in favor of Noskova.
In the second round, the Czech will face the winner of the match (Claire Liu, USA) – Priscilla Hohn (Australia).
