Winner of 18 ATP titles said goodbye to the public at Roland Garros
37 year old French tennis player Jo-Wilfried Tsonga played the last match of his professional career.
Tsonga previously announced that he would end his career after the current Roland Garros draw, which the veteran started with a match against world No. 8 Kasper Ruud.
In three hours and 49 minutes, the Frenchman won one set against the eighth seeded Norwegian and was close to moving the game into the decisive fifth game, but Tsonga was prevented by a shoulder injury.

The best result in the world rankings for Jo-Wilfried remains 33rd place, where the Frenchman climbed in October 2009.
