Angelina repeated her best result on the French Open courts
Angelina Kalinina advanced to the second round Roland Garros on the refusal of American Hayley Baptist.
20-year-old Baptist was unable to continue the fight due to injury with the score 5:2 in favor of Kalinina in the first set.
Kalinina and Baptist played the first match between themselves. For seven games, the second racket of Ukraine realized two of the six breakpoints.
In the second round, Angelina’s rival will be the winner of the match between the 11th seeded American Jessica Pegula and Chinese Wang Qiang.
Kalinina reached the second round of the French Open for the second time in her career, where she also made it last year.
