Czech lost to Diane Parry of France
Czech tennis player Barbora Kreychikova lost at the start of Roland Garos to Frenchwoman Diane Parry. Thus, the current champion of the tournament was unable to defend her title.
The match lasted 2 hours and 8 minutes. The second racket of the world completed four aces, made seven double faults and converted five out of nine break points. Parry, ranked 97th in the WTA rankings, fired twice, made one double fault and used six break points out of 15.
Interestingly, Kreychikova played her first match since the end of February, when she competed at the WTA tournament in Doha. The Czech took a break due to problems with her elbow.
Earlier, two Ukrainian tennis players left the tournament – Lesya Tsurenko and Dayana Yastremska.
