Schwentek withdrew from the second tournament in Adelaide due to a shoulder injury

The world’s first racket Iga Schwentek will miss the second tournament in Adelaide, Australia, according to the competition organizers’ press service.

The Polish tennis player will not participate in the tournament due to a right shoulder injury. Schwentek’s place on the grid will be taken by Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia.

The competitions will take place from January 9 to 14. Schwentek has been ranked number one in the world rankings since April 4, 2022.

Schwentek is the winner of three Grand Slam tournaments, and the 21-year-old also has 11 victories in WTA tournaments.
