In the final, the Serbian beat the American Korda, having played the match point
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic became the winner of the tournament ATP 250 in Adelaide (Australia).
The ex-first racket of the world in three sets won a strong-willed victory over Sebastian Korda from the USA. The finale lasted a little over three hours. Note that in the twelfth game of the second set, Korda failed to realize the match point on Djokovic’s serve.
Novak had his 131st career final and his 92nd title, equaling Rafael Nadal in this respect. Both players are fourth on the all-time trophy list behind Jimmy Connors (109), Roger Federer (103) and Ivan Lendl (94).
Recall that in December, Djokovic flew to Australia to prepare for participation in the Australian Open. In January 2022, he was deported from Australia and denied entry for three years.
