In the first game, Jessica Pegula defeated Martine Trevisan – 6:4, 6:2. In the second game, Francis Tiafoe brought another point to the American team after Lorenzo Musetti refused to continue the game after the first set. In the third match, Taylor Fritz defeated Matteo Berrettini – 7: 6 (7: 4), 7: 6 (8: 6).
The United Cup has been held since December 29 in three cities: Brisbane, Perth and Sydney. The tournament’s prize pool is $15 million.
