In the final of the Australian Open-2023 qualification, Alexey beat the American Denis Kudla
Ukrainian tennis player Alexey Krutykh made it to the main draw of the Grand Slam tournament Australian Open 2023.
In the finals of the qualification, the Ukrainian beat the sixth seeded Denis Kudla in a two-hour fight. The American won the first set, but the next two were left for Alexei. At the beginning of the decisive game, Krutykh took the opponent’s serve and held the advantage to the end.
During the qualification, Alexey beat the American Stefan Kozlov in the first round. Then the Ukrainian went through Gianluca Magera from Italy in two sets.
Alexei will play in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in his career. The main part of the Australian Open 2023 will take place from 16 to 29 January.
