Ukrainian tennis player Nadezhda Kichenok failed to reach the final doubles tournament WTA 250 in Hobart (Australia).
In the semi-finals, together with Kimberly Zimmermann from Belgium, the Ukrainian lost in straight sets to the duet Kirsten Flipkens/Laura Siegemund (Belgium/Germany). In the first game, with the score 2:1, Kichenok and Zimmermann gave away the next five games. And in the second set, a pair of Ukrainians lost in a tie-break – 5-7.
Kichenok and Zimmermann held the first joint semi-final and could not break the winning streak of Flipkens and Siegemund. Next week, Nadezhda and Kimberly will start together in the doubles bracket of the Australian Open-2023.
