Nadezhda Kichenok failed to reach the final of the doubles tournament in Hobart

In the semi-finals, the Ukrainian, playing with Kimberly Zimmermann, lost to the top seeds Flipkens and Siegemund

Ukrainian tennis player Nadezhda Kichenok failed to reach the final doubles tournament WTA 250 in Hobart (Australia).

In the semi-finals, together with Kimberly Zimmermann from Belgium, the Ukrainian lost in straight sets to the duet Kirsten Flipkens/Laura Siegemund (Belgium/Germany). In the first game, with the score 2:1, Kichenok and Zimmermann gave away the next five games. And in the second set, a pair of Ukrainians lost in a tie-break – 5-7.

Kichenok and Zimmermann held the first joint semi-final and could not break the winning streak of Flipkens and Siegemund. Next week, Nadezhda and Kimberly will start together in the doubles bracket of the Australian Open-2023.

Recall that in the quarterfinals in Hobart, Nadezhda Kichenok and Zimmermann defeated the third seeded Mia Kato and Aldila Sutjiadi.
