Russian Daniel Medvedev said he was happy to be one of the best tennis players in the world and noted that he felt at home in Australia.
“If people think I’m the favourite, that’s really good because I’ve worked all my life to become one of the best players in the world. I’m happy that now I’m one of them I love coming to Australia I mean I feel at home here.
Being a father gives me a lot of good feelings. But I am an athlete and I want to continue to participate in tournaments, to try to do my best. Nothing has changed, I still want to win.
After the Australian Open 2022, I couldn’t show an outstanding result. I didn’t play badly, but I expected more from myself,” the Australian Open press service quoted Medvedev as saying.
The Australian Open will be held in Melbourne from January 16-29. Medvedev reached the Australian Open final in 2021 and 2022.
