The provocations at the Grand Slam tournament began after the entry of athletes from the aggressor countries into the competition.
Russian fans once again showed that their athletes should not have been allowed to the Australian Open. Despite the ban on displaying any symbols of the aggressor country, the Russians began to violate this rule.
As part of the first round at the Australian Open, Ukrainian tennis player Ekaterina Beindl met Russian player Kamilla Rakhimova.
The winner of the confrontation was a Ukrainian who defeated his opponent in three sets – 7:5, 6:7, 6:1.
It is noteworthy that during the match, not only the Russian flag was seen in the stands, but also fans in Russian equipment. Moreover, one of them was wearing a T-shirt with a picture of the murdered leader of the Kremlin – Putin.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia, Vasily Miroshnichenko, published a post on Twitter in which he called on the organizers of the Australian Open to respond to the display of the Russian flag.
“I strongly condemn the public demonstrations of the Russian flag at Ukrainian tennis player Kateryna Beindl’s match today at the Australian Open. I call on Tennis Australia to immediately implement its ‘neutral flag’ policy,” wrote Miroshnichenko.
Recall that the organizers of the Australian Open allowed the Russians and Belarusians to compete under a neutral flag, and they were forbidden to use national signs and flags.
