Lesya took a medical break
Ukrainian tennis players Lesya Tsurenko and Dayana Yastremskaya lost in the first round of the season’s first Grand Slam tournament, the Australian Open 2023.
Tsurenko lost without a chance to Karolina Muchova from the Czech Republic in 1 hour and 16 minutes. During the match, Lesya never took her serve. In the second set, Tsurenko took a medical timeout.
Yastremskaya was defeated in two sets by Elena Ostapenko from Latvia. For 1 hour and 15 minutes, the Ukrainian has never been able to take the opponent’s serve. The tenth game of the first game was decisive, in which Dayana gave her serve.
Recall that Marta Kostyuk and Angelina Kalinina started the Australian Open-202 with victories. Kostyuk defeated Amanda Anisimova from the USA in two sets, and Kalinina defeated American Coco Vandewey.
