Medvedev in a match with Giron set a personal record at Grand Slam tournaments

Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev in the Australian Open first round match against the American Marcos Giron updated a personal best at Grand Slam tournaments, according to the Opta statistical service.

The match ended with the score 6:0, 6:1, 6:2 in favor of the Russian. Medvedev has lost the fewest matches in a single Grand Slam match in his career. The next opponent for the eighth racket in the world will be Australian John Milman.

– Very happy with the game. Marcos is a tough opponent and beating him like that in the first round of a Grand Slam is great.

Milman is capable of playing great tennis so I will have to show everything I can do,” Medvedev told the Australian Open website.
