Novak to play in 44th Grand Slam semi-final
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic beat Andrey Rublev and went out to semi-finals of the Australian Open-2023.
It took Djokovic just over two hours to win in three sets. At the Australian Open, the Serbian won the 26th match in a row and repeated the longest winning streak achieved by Andre Agassi from 2000 to 2004.
The Serbian tennis player reached the semifinals of the Grand Slam for the 44th time. This is the second result in history, only ahead of Roger Federer, who has 46 semi-final matches.
Also, Djokovic continues his unbeaten streak this year, winning the tenth match in a row. Taking into account last year’s victory at the Final ATP Championship, Djokovic already has 15 matches without defeat.
In the semi-finals, Djokovic will face American Tommy Paul, who will play at this stage of the Grand Slam tournaments for the first time. Karen Khachanov (-) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) will play in the first semi-final pair.
