Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev became a member of the players’ council of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), reports the press service of the organization.
Other board members are Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, Pedro Martinez, Bernabe Zapata Miralles (both Spaniards), Wesley Koolhoff (Netherlands), Harry Heliovaara (Finland), Pedro Kachin (Argentina), Matthew Ebden (Australia), Daniel Valverdu, Nicolas Pereira (both are from Venezuela).
The council is chosen by the players to represent the tennis players in management decisions regarding the tour. The first meeting was held in Melbourne on January 12. The Board meets several times a year.
