1989 Roland Garros semi-finalist, winner of two Masters Series tournaments Andrey Chesnokov has commented on the results of the Australian Open women’s final.
In the final match, the Belarusian tennis player Arina Sobolenko with a score of 4:6, 6:3, 6:4 beat the champion of Wimbledon‑2022 Elena Rybakin from Kazakhstan.
– A very good ending! Sobolenko, it seems to me, deserved to win. She plays very well. The last game is the plot of the whole game. Everything was there. Rybakina had chances to equalize the score. She is really part of the top 10 or even the top 6 minimum. It seems to me that Rybakina can win all tournaments – with such play and with such ease. If she does not fall psychologically, she must win several Grand Slam tournaments, “Championship” quotes Chesnokov.
