Lesya defeated the Belgian Bonaventure in three sets
Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko won the first round series tournament WTA 250 in Hua Hin (Thailand).
In 2 hours and 15 minutes, Tsurenko defeated the 97th racket of the world, Isaline Bonaventure from Belgium, in three sets. Lesya won the first game with 4 breaks. In the decisive set, the Ukrainian was leading 5:0, but with difficulty brought the matter to victory, giving two serves and missing three match points.
Tsurenko’s next opponent will be determined in the match between Anna Kalinskaya (-, 4) and Ekaterina Makarova (-, Q).
At the Australian Open 2023, Tsurenko lost in the first round to Karolina Muchova from the Czech Republic.
At this tournament, Marta Kostyuk will face Liang Enshuo from Chinese Taipei in the first round, who won two matches in the qualifying draw.
