Djokovic says he’s worried about comments from people who question his injury

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic said he was unhappy with some people’s comments about his injury, promising he would provide more information about it in the near future.

Last week Djokovic won the Australian Open for the 10th time, beating Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in three sets in the final. During the tournament, the 35-year-old Serb took several medical breaks due to a leg injury. The athlete’s coach Goran Ivanisevic said that 97% of players will withdraw from the tournament if they see the results of Djokovic’s medical examination.

– He said it – 97%? These two weeks I’ve been thinking about whether to post something about the injury, and I thought I’d post. I will talk about everything in more detail and post some pictures on social networks.

I don’t mean to sound pathetic; I won the trophy. But two years ago there was something similar, people doubt (in the trauma) today, they say all kinds of things, laugh and so on. I feel the need to show and prove certain things. Not so much for these people, but for myself – some comments bother me a bit. You will know everything in a few days.

If it was just a small problem, I would train, right? I have never faced such a situation before – not training on weekends from the start of the tournament. There are some things I would like to work on in training, at least half an hour, but my team stopped me saying ‘no’ — quotes Djokovic’s words Tennis majors .

Djokovic is the winner of 22 Grand Slam singles tournaments, with a total of 93 trophies to his name.
