ATP complete investigation into Zverev, finding tennis player not guilty of domestic violence

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has completed an investigation into the Alexandra Zvereva on domestic violence charges.

Earlier, it was reported that tennis player Olga Sharypova’s ex-girlfriend suffered from him during the Masters Series tournament in Shanghai in 2019. The investigation begins two years later.

— An independent investigation into Zverev did not find sufficient evidence to support the published allegations of abuse. As a result, the ATP will not take any disciplinary action, the ATP said in a statement.

“The seriousness and complexity of these allegations required an extremely thorough investigation and considerable resources. It also required the use of specialized investigators, which was an unprecedented experience for the ATP,” said the association’s CEO, Massimo Calvelli. “Ultimately, we believe that an exhaustive process was necessary. to reach an informed decision.

Zverev is the Olympic champion of the Tokyo Games, winner of 19 ATP singles tournaments.
