The details of the deputies’ letter to President Boric asking him not to take away the courts from Patricio Cornejo

After the contract with National Assets was canceled, the former national team was very complicated and asked for help. It is now two deputies who send a letter to President Gabriel Boric.

The parliamentarians have sent a letter to the President (with a copy to the Minister of Sport and the Minister of National Assets) seeking his intervention in the legal problem that the former Davis Cup captain is going through in the courts.

Similarly, the letter refers to the origin of the problem: “We make this request on the understanding that the existing debt has been paid under the contract with National Assets; debt that arose as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which in this case meant closing the tennis club for a year without generating revenue added the parliamentarians.

The situation of the Patricio Cornejo Club has even been addressed by the Chilean Tennis Federation, since its president, Sergio Elías, commented in an interview with El Deportivo that it could be the next headquarters of the national entity.

“We want to exhaust the options with Club Patricio Cornejo. It could be a good alternative.
