Ukrainian failed the first set in the match with the German Maria
Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya lostand in the second round WTA 250 tournament in Hua Hin (Thailand).
The Ukrainian lost in two sets to Tatiana Maria from Germany. Yastremskaya lost the first game to zero and managed to impose a fight in the second. Yielding 0:3, Dayana reduced the gap to a minimum and could transfer the set to a tie-break, but lost her serve with the score 4:5.
Yastremskaya lost a match for the first time on the courts of a tournament in Hua Hin. Recall that in 2019, the Ukrainian became the champion of these competitions and did not perform in Hua Hin again.
Yastremskaya also lost a set with a steering wheel for the eighth time in her career and for the first time since August last year. The 22-year-old Ukrainian tennis player played her fourth match this year and suffered her third defeat.
The following week, Dayana was included in the list of participants in the qualification of the WTA 500 tournament in Abu Dhabi.
Recall that today Marta Kostyuk managed to get into the quarterfinals in Hua Hin. In the second round, the Ukrainian beat Japan’s Nao Hibino in two sets.
