The Chilean Tennis Federation launches a 2-1 campaign to make the locals feel against Kazakhstan for the Davis Cup

As a last minute measure to fill the Trentino Complex at La Serena, the entity has decided to implement a promotion that encourages fans and thus reverses low ticket sales.

During the morning of this Thursday, there was concern at La Serena about the low number of tickets sold for the important Davis Cup series against Kazakhstan, in search of a return to the World Group after four years. No more than 20% of the tickets had been sold and the promise of having a cauldron for the duel in the Trentino complex was seriously threatened.

One of the main reasons was the high cost of tickets, with the cheapest starting at $44,800 and the most expensive going up to $89,600. The response was not as expected and the Tennis Federation had to intervene in the afternoon. Thus, it was decided to set up a 2×1 promotion. In other words, two people can enter for the value of a single ticket.

Currently, the VIP North stand, which is the most expensive, is the only full location. It is expected, however, that with this new measure the public will respond and the number will be as close to 10,000 as possible. Tickets can be found through the system Puncticket.

Nicolás Massú himself, during the captains’ conference, stressed the importance of having a full stadium. “Playing in a full stadium and with fans always helps a lot. Locality makes the difference, especially in a series as important as this. I hope people can join us, we have tried to play in different regions of Chile so that they can experience this great opportunity to be in the Davis Cup and in sport they play a fundamental role”, he added. he declares.

In the meantime, this Friday will take place the draw of the confrontation, where the Vampire will announce the singles that will take the field this Saturday. Alejandro Tabilo, Christian Garin and Nicolás Jarry appear as the candidates to play on the opening day.
