Kyrgios pleads guilty but Australian court dismisses case for assaulting ex-girlfriend

At the hearing held in Canberra, the 27-year-old tennis player admitted to pushing his then-girlfriend, in an incident that occurred during a heated argument in the garage of the building where Passari lived.

Court documents, cited by ABC, indicate that Passari tried to prevent Kyrgios from opening the door of a taxi, until the athlete pushed his former partner and caused him to fall on his right side, injuring himself his shoulders and knees.

Before the decision to close the case, the magistrate rejected Kyrgios’ argument to try to dismiss the accusation by maintaining that he suffered from mental health problems, which the court today determined that the athlete did not suffering from a problem of significant depression, ABC added.

Australian tennis player – who has admitted in the past to having psychological problems – saying in her statement today that mental health problems are “tough” and make life feel “so heavy”, which is why she has sought help to get better..
