The tennis player is gradually preparing to return to the court
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina plans to gradually get back in shape to return to a world tour later this year.
“While I’m getting in shape slowly, playing with Gael and working on my shots, hitting a lot of balls. I kept in mind the return to the game, but having a child is difficult physically and mentally. It’s a lot of work being a full-time mom, working out and coming home.”
“I don’t put any pressure on myself. But I am motivated and ready to work hard to get back on the court.”
Svitolina suspended performances at the end of March, preparing for the birth of her daughter. The Ukrainian lost the title of the first racket of the country during her vacation. The Ukrainian said that she plans to get in shape and return to the court by the summer.
Recently, a Ukrainian woman launched a special Athlete’s Mental Health program for children aged 11-16. The course itself will last three months and will be held online.
Elina is an ambassador of the UNITED24 platform, created to provide financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, civilians, as well as to restore Ukraine from the consequences of Russian military aggression.
In December, Svitolina held a charity gala dinner in Monaco. During the event, 170 thousand euros were collected for generators for Ukrainian hospitals.
