Pavlyuchenkova lost to the representative of Bulgaria Victoria Tomova – 6:3, 4:6, 6:3. The Russian completed seven sets from start to finish, double faulted three times and converted six of 10 break points.
Gracheva was beaten by Germany’s Anna-Lena Friedsam – 6:2, 3:6, 1:6. Varvara was scored with two runs from start to finish, four double faults and three break points made from five.
The tournament will begin on February 6.
