Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov will not play at the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam, according to the press service of the organizers.
The reasons for Khachanov’s withdrawal are not reported. He will be replaced by Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi.
The ABN AMRO Open tournament in Rotterdam will be held from February 13 to 19. The jackpot exceeds 2 million euros. Russians Andrei Rublev, Daniil Medvedev, Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, Dane Holger Rune and other tennis players will take part in the tournament.
In the first version of the ATP championship run this season, Khachanov became the best among Russian tennis players. The 2023 Australian Open semi-finalist is in third place, behind Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Khachanov is 13th in the ATP rankings.
