Ukrainian lost in two sets to Gil Teichmann from Switzerland
Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya lost in the first round of the main draw of the tournament WTA 500 V Abu Dhabi (UAE).
The Ukrainian lost to Zhil Teichmann from Switzerland in two sets. In the first set, Dayana lost one of her serves, failing to return the break. In the second set, the Ukrainian took the lead, but did not keep the advantage. Teichmann turned out to be stronger in the tie-break.
Dayana made it to the main draw through the qualifiers. In the first round of selection, Yastremska defeated German Laura Siegemund in two sets, and then defeated Claire Liu from the USA in three sets.
Recall that another Ukrainian woman, Marta Kostyuk, is performing at the tournament in Abu Dhabi. In the second round, Marta will face second seed Belinda Bencic of Switzerland.
